Rebecca's Return by Jerry Eicher

I liked this book a lot more then the first in the series. It dragged for me a bit in the middle where it was just about how upset they were about John. And I was sure that something more would go on with Emma but I guess that will be saved for the third book. I gave this book three stars cause I liked it! :) I started this book on 04/22/10 and I finished it on 04/29/10.

Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult

Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite authors. I love her writing and the stories she tells. One of her other books, My Sister's Keeper, is by far my favorite book ever. I also liked her book The Pact. This book was a little different but I liked this book okay. It wasn't my favorite of her's but it definitely wasn't my least favorite either. And it kind of dragged for a little bit in the middle. I knew from the get go about Kurt but I would have never guessed about Grace. I gave this book 3 stars. I started reading it on 04/02/10 and I finished it on 04/22/10.

Friday Fill-Ins #172

And...here we go!

1. I'd like to the beach...To be specific I'd like to go to Topsail Island.
2. One of my most favorite romantic memories is when my husband asked me to marry him, it was wonderful!
3. Last night, I had Subway for dinner.
4. Sorry for the lack of posting lately, just been a little busy.
5. Can we have the weekend now?
6. One of my worst temptations is chocolate; but books are hard to resist too!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to cleaning a little and doing homework, tomorrow my plans include finishing cleaning, homework and doing laundry and Sunday, I want to go to church and spend time with family like always!

Saturday 9: Hurts so Good

1. Tell us about the last time you really got hurt. Hum...I guess it was like getting hurt. I'm allergic to latex and it's only around my mouth. That was found out by the dentist using latex. My lips blew up and it was bad. But it hurt so does that count?

2. What's your oldest possession? At my parents house I have a Cabbage Patch Kid that I had from being very little, his name is Brian. But here at my house my oldest possession is probably panda blanket that my aunt Susie gave me or the green cups that were my mom and dad's. You are probably thinking the green cups are like china or something but they are actually just plastic cups. Nothing taste as good in anything else! haha

3. Do you have any phobias? Spiders and drinking or eating anything that's bad. I've always been scared of spiders but the drinking and eating anything that's bad has just surfaced in the past year. I smell milk before I drink it every time I get ready to drink it!

4. What values did your parents instill in you? To trust in God no matter what, to treat people how I wanted to be treated, to be honest all the time, and they love me!

5. What are your plans for Easter? Sonrise service tomorrow morning then back for regular services and then a cook-out at my mom's!

6. I like sun more than snow. That is a FALSE statement. I LOVE snow!

7. Tell us about 3 fads from your teenage years. I don't know about my teenage years but as a child the fads were side ponytails, leggings, and big hair.

8. Tell us what is the most important attribute in a lover. That they be more concerned with making sure the other person is happy.

9. What new piece of technology have you resisted buying and what would it take for you to change your mind? A smart phone, and it would take the prices dropping majorly!

Hidden Places by Lynn Austin

** spoiler alert ** I really liked this book until it got to Eliza's story and the whole circus bit just doesn't appeal to me I guess. But I loved Aunt Batty and Gabe. I could also tell from the get go that Eliza would fall in love with Gabe and Aunt Batty would fall in love with Walter but I wanted to find out how it all happened. It was an amazing story with the exception of Eliza's circus bit. With that I kept waiting for something major to happen to her for her to have hid it from everyone for so long. But all that being said I can't wait for the next Lynn Austin book I'll read.
