My daily Saturday doings....

So thankful that God is good!

So if you've read my previous post then these mere six words need no explaining...So go ahead, you know you want to keep reading my blog...

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Saturday 9: You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'

1. In a relationship, have you ever hung in even when you knew for sure it was over? Yes...It wasn't like we were married or anything I just kept hoping, at that time, that we'd get over the fighting and work it out. BUT alas, we didn't and I'm thankful cause I am much happier now then I ever was or could have been with him!

2. If you had the ability to perpetually alleviate any pain on your body, what would it be? Um the upcoming labor that I know will most likely be very painful...Can I pick that?

3. What place would you visit if money were no object? Um why just pick one place. I'd get a camper and go around the US then I'd fly to Italy, Paris, Spain and anywhere else my traveling husband would like to go. Of course I'd see Alaska too. BUT if I could only pick one place it'd probably be to go to Italy cause I think Jamie would really like to go there.

4. What is one thing you would love to change about yourself? Before I became pregnant I would have said my weight. But now nothing much really.

5. Do you think your parents were too strict growing up? Sometimes but now that I'm 28 years old I realize that they did it all with my best interest in mind. And I'll do the same for Maddie! :)

6. In general, how many old friends do you have that you talk to at least once a year? Very few...I'm a hermit crab and keep to myself it seems.

7. What was the last compliment you received? That I was a very cute pregnant lady! :) Or that I was glowing...either one is awesome...

8. Have you ever told someone you loved them but didn't really mean it? No...I only say it if I mean it...

9. In your opinion, would it be harder to lose someone close to you more as a child or harder as an adult? A child because you didn't get to see them grow and mature...And children are so innocent (majority of the time).

Six Word Saturday & Saturday 9....

Want to finish crocheting this blanket.

Since October/November of last year I've been crocheting a blanket for my brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Heather. Last year when we went on vacation Chicago and then to the beach. Between Chicago and the beach I mentioned to Heather that I'd like to stop by AC Moore to buy some yarn for a blanket. I didn't know who I was going to crochet a blanket for but that I'd like to make one because when I'm at the beach I work on them a lot and get a lot done. (We go to a beach where there is absolutely nothing to do - more time to read, crochet and sleep!) Anyhow, upon hearing that Heather asked if I'd make her and Jason one. She picked the yarn out and I said of course. So I've been working on it pretty regular. I'll go a month working on it non-stop and then I'll take a month off. Also depends on if my hands hurt or not. Anyhow, I have about 10 rows left on her and Jason's blanket and I can't wait to give it to them. AND after I finish their blanket, I'm going to make my sweet Maddie a baby blanket. So hopefully I'll get some crocheting done today!

Saturday 9: My Best Friend's Girl

1. Have you and a friend ever have an argument because you were attracted to the same person? Not really...Maybe in middle school when all the girls are boy crazy but other then that it was never a big deal.

2. Who never returns your phone calls? Hum...I'm not sure...I'm not a phone talker so I'm sure if some people that I knew were filling this out then they'd say I was the one who didn't return phone calls!

3. What was your favorite childhood toy? Well, the first toy that came to mind was my Light Brite. That thing was so cool. But I also liked to color when I was little. And only with Crayola crayons. (I've informed a few people that if they buy my children anything but Crayola, I'll just throw them away! haha)

4. Who is the last person you greeted at your door? My sister Jessi came over and cut mine and Jamie's hair before our vacation. But I greet people at the door at work all the time!

5. Would you change anything about your life right now? Nope. God put me where I'm at when I'm here for a reason. He knows my story line and he knows everything that happens in my story. Who am I to question the Creator of the Universe??

6. Who is the easiest person for you to talk to? God, my husband, my momma, and my friend Erica.

7. If you could live in any ancient city during the height of the quality of its society and culture, which one would you choose? Not really sure...Where would be a good place?

8. What is the most exciting event you’ve ever witnessed? Not sure...But when Maddie is born I know that'll be pretty exciting! Okay the most exciting thing ever!

9. What do you consider the ideal age to have a first child? It would have been probably between the ages of 20 and 25, but apparently God thinks 28 is a good age for me and 26 a good age for my husband! :)

Six Word Saturday AND Saturday 9....all rolled into one post....

Glad to be back in routine!

Although vacation is completely awesome and the time off was much needed it's always good to get back in the routine of things. Always hard too at first. I have been super tired this week, not that I haven't been sleeping, just haven't been waking up feeling rested.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Saturday 9: I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight

1. Have you ever lost a lover and spent way too much time wondering what they were doing? When I was dating I'm sure I did. Now I have a wonderful husband who those ex's didn't even compare too. He's awesome!

2. What was your favorite vacation ever? HUM...it'd either have to be our honeymoon or our cruise. Our honeymoon was simple but so great. We didn't have a care in the world and we pretty much didn't have to worry about money the whole time. And our cruise was great because we didn't have to spend money if we didn't want to and it was so cool to see all the sites.

3. Do you like surprises? If yes, what kinds? Or are you one of those people who absolutely has to know what's going on before it happens? Yes I like some surprises. Like when Jamie comes home and brings me something. Like last night he bought me some zip lock bags. Yes it was a good surprise and I was excited because we needed some. It's the little things people!

4. Have you ever written a poem? Feel free to share one. Or even a dirty limerick is OK. Nope, not a poem writing type person. My husband on the other hand has a way with words!

5. Did anything interesting show up in your mail lately besides the bills? Yep, Jamie's luggage that Carnival sent showed up on Thursday. :) And I should be getting a Thirty One Book soon cause I'm going to host a party.

6. How many of your friendships have lasted more than ten years? Which of your current friends do you feel will still be important to you ten years from now? Family members don't count. I have one really good friend and we've been friends for ten years. I remember because I'd just graduated high school when we became friends. It's Erica over at Vicrace Designs. She's pretty awesome. I think she'll still be important to me in ten years.

7. Do you own a pet? If so, do you buy them presents for holidays? Do you consider your pet(s) spoiled? If you don't own one, do you think you will one day? I do have a pet, his name is Chubby. Isn't he cute? I don't buy him presents. But Jamie's mom does :) And he is very spoiled. Most of the time if I'm on the computer he'll sit at my left side and my arm will be around him. haha.

8. It's Friday afternoon and you're planning your weekend. What's on your agenda on a hot August night? Um.......staying inside where it's cool. No probably either being at my own home or going to my parents.

9. What's your worst nervous habit? Probably some people would say twirling my hair. I have always twirled it though and I probably always will so they can get over it. haha

Saturday 9: Take Me Back

Saturday 9: Take Me Back

1. Think of all your exes. Would you take any of them back? Um, nope that's why they are exes! I do wish them all, only the best in life.

2. If anyone came to your house on your "lazy days" what would you be wearing? My PJ's cause that's what's comfy (I'd love it if the world would wear PJ's normally - haha)

3. What's your favorite shirt? Right now probably my red or green maternity shirt. Otherwise it'd be my Hurricane Hockey t-shirt.

4. Have you ever been on your school's track team? Nope, I don't run.

5. Do you own a pair of Converse? Nope. I have before but not right now. I've learned to be about comfort and not looks!

6. Where are you at right now? Home Sweet Home!

7. Do you eat raw cookie dough? When I'm not pregnant I absolutely love it. But alas that was one of the many things I was told to stay away from.

8. Don't you hate when the radio ruins good songs by playing them over and over? Yes that or playing a remix of them. Can't stand majority of all remixes. And there needs to be a good 90's station where I live. OH, you didn't ask for all that did you!

9. Do you watch the news? Only occasionaly. I think there needs to be more positive "news" instead of all negative.

Saturday 9: Make You Feel My Love

Saturday 9: Make You Feel My Love

1. What has someone done unusual to make you feel their love? Cleaned the bathroom! :) Seriously...

2. Do you own a smart phone? If yes, is it everything you wanted? If no, how seriously have you considered a purchase of the new smart phone? Yes I have an iPhone and I love it. It's everything I wanted and very entertaining majority of the time!

3. Have you ever camped out to purchase something? Um no, I don't want to go camping much less camp out for something. I did go to a midnight release of one of the Twilight books, I'm thinking it was the 3rd in the series, and stood in line for about 15 minutes for my sister-in-law to purchase the book. But we did not camp out!

4. What is your worst habit? Biting the skin around my nails.

5. What is your best habit? Taking a shower?? haha. No, I'm a little OCD with some stuff, more at work then home (weird I know). But my best habit at home is that I'm very OCD with the bills.

6. In your opinion, what is life's greatest mystery? Gardening! I just don't have what it takes to do even flowers. Even small house plants :(

7. Are you one of those people who is constantly busy with projects, social outings, etc. or do you just like to lay low and stay home? I like to lay low and stay home. When I was younger I liked going out and stuff but now I figure I'm paying for a house I need to enjoy it!

8. Whether you're busy all the time or like to just chill, have you always been that way? See previous answer.

9. Is there something you'd like to change about how you spend your time? If so, what is it? If not, why not? I'd like more friends to hang out with but I also like my time at home. And I'm not very likely to give up much of my time that I have with my husband since we don't get to spend a lot of time together.

Thanks so much for joining us again at Saturday: 9. As always, feel free to come back, see who has participated and comment on their posts. Six Word Saturday AND Saturday 9.......

Counting down days, to different things... :)

So, I'm counting down the days to many different things. I go back to the baby doctor in 16 days. We go to have an ultrasound to find out the gender of the baby in 24 days. And then next month we're going on vacation in 48 days. I AM so ready for all of these things and I've always been one to count down. Seriously, I counted down the days from the time I got engaged, November 4, 2006, all the way to my wedding day which was November 9, 2007. I drove my boss near crazy just from counting down. Anyhow, are you one who counts down to something minor or major? And if so, WHAT are you counting down to?

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Saturday 9: The Best & the Worst

1. What was the best thing that happened to you this week? I was able to watch my four and five year old graduate.

The worst? Getting ready for the graduation! haha.

2. What's the best thing someone's done for you (recently or not so recently)? The best thing that anyone has done for me is when God sent his son to die for me.

What's the worst thing someone's done to you (again, recently or not so recently)? When family hurts you by lying and acting just plain stupid. And also when people you love say hurtful things to you.

3. What's the best thing about your job? Loving children and watching the grow

Worst? When you work with a bunch of women it can get very catty. That or the sassyness of the children sometimes (but I don't put up with that very much).

4. What's the best new website you've found? NookDeals - I absolutely LOVE this site.

Worst? If you find a worst website why would you go back??? I don't have one.

5. What's the best book you've read? Really I have to pick just one??? I have to many best. But I love these authors: Amanda Hocking, Jodi Picoult, Lynn Austin, and Lisa McKay.

Worst? Roseflower Creek by Jackie Lee Miles (Just didn't care for it)

6. What's the best movie you've seen? UM Cinderella for sure! No really, I'm a kid at heart and I love Cinderella, Shrek, Nemo...all the kid movies. If I had to pick a best "un-kid" movie it'd probably be The Time Traveler's Wife. I loved the book and the movie!

Worst? The Saw Movies...They are HORRIBLE!

7. What's the best meal you've had?
Hum...seeing as how my husband is a chef I've ate a lot of good meals because we know a lot of good restaurants. But I have to say last year when we went to Chicago last year for vacation (just to eat at different places) I had some of the best food ever. But by far Schwa was the best of it all. Not in the best part of Chicago and not super easy to get a reservation for but it's the best food ever. Another place in Chicago is Perennial which was super good too. AND the last place I'll tell about is Hot Chocolate. SO GOOD! (Sorry I know you didn't ask for a report on food but these are my favorites!)

Worst? Probably just chain places. I can't think of anywhere where we've gone and we just haven't liked it at all that's worth saying it's the worst. Hum...I'll have to ponder this one.

8. What's the best holiday? I definitely think Christmas is the best holiday. You get to celebrate the birth of Jesus AND spend time with family. It's pretty awesome!

Worst? Halloween...Just never been about it.

9. What's the best thing in your future?
A baby for sure! All before Christmas I'm going on my first cruise and having a baby. Super excited!

Worst? I'd have to say labor. Although something super awesome will come from the pain of labor, I must admit I'm a wuss when it comes to pain!

Saturday 9: Midnight Confessions

Saturday 9: Midnight Confessions

1. Have you ever had to confess something to a lover or friend? Not that I remember.
2. How well do you handle rejection? Not well at all. I'm very hard on myself about the way other people see me.
3. What makes you feel old? Seeing little teeny-boopers walking around.
4. What makes you feel young? Music, listening to music!
5. What’s something you are old school about? Waiting to "dust" until you are married. I'm very old school about it. It was the best thing that I have ever done and I am all about promoting abstinence. Don't read this wrong and think I'm judging anyone who hasn't or won't wait until they are married - to each their own. But it is something so wonderful to wait! Okay, stepping off my soap box.
6. What TV show's seasons would you buy on DVD? Tell us why it rocks. King of Queens - we have a few seasons of those and would love to have all of them. That show is so funny. Probably another one would be ER. It was such a good show. And House and I'd love to catch up on the show Fringe.
7. If you could create your own TV channel, what would it be? Hum...It'd be a mix between do-it-yourself stuff, funny tv shows and then of course I'd put a little bit of news on there for my husband.
8. Where do you like to go for a day trip? Mountains. A few years ago my husband and I went to the mountains on a rare weekend that he had off and it was so awesome! AND the beach, I'm going to my mother-in-law's, Cindy's, next weekend just for the weekend!
9. Name some things that you still want to do in your life. Have children, be a stay-at-home mom, be a good witness for Christ!

Saturday, May 08, 2010

Saturday 9: Hey Jealousy

Saturday 9: Hey Jealousy

1. When was the last time that you got jealous? Hum...It's been a while. I remember around Christmas being jealous of a girl at work who was pregnant. Only because I'd love to have a baby of my own. BUT God will supply that when He sees fit and that's what I keep telling myself. So being jealous really was silly!

2. At what point do you finally decide it's time to move forward with your life (like, major changes)? How do you know? What do you do? When God tells you to move forward you move forward. When He closes a door, He'll open another one.

3. When is it time to just let it ('it' can be whatever you choose) go? How do you know? What do you do? See the answer to number 2! :)

4. How many times must someone push your buttons before you've just had enough? Why? Only about two or three times.

5. If I S/O were to cheat on you, could you ever see yourself giving them a second chance? Or a third? Not really. If he wanted someone else then he should end it with me first! Or visa versa.

6. What was the last thing that someone did that you were very grateful for? Buy me Rita's!

7. How much time do you spend online in a given weekday? What about the weekends? I'd say around 2 or 3 hours per weekday and maybe 8 or 9 hours on the weekends. Just depends on how tired I am.

8. How many online journals/blogs do you read regularly? What are some of your favorites and why? About six or seven. I'm a nosey person! haha...

9. What was the last major purchase that you made? Well, we paid off my car...So it was just fully purchased in March. Other then that we just bought iPhones!

Thanks so much for joining us again at Saturday: 9. As always, feel free to come back, see who has participated and comment on their posts. In fact sometimes, if you want to read & comment on everyone's responses, you might want to check back again tomorrow. But it is not a rule. We haven’t any rules here. Join us on next Saturday for another version of Saturday: 9, "Just A Silly Meme on a Saturday!" Enjoy your weekend!

Saturday 9: Hurts so Good

1. Tell us about the last time you really got hurt. Hum...I guess it was like getting hurt. I'm allergic to latex and it's only around my mouth. That was found out by the dentist using latex. My lips blew up and it was bad. But it hurt so does that count?

2. What's your oldest possession? At my parents house I have a Cabbage Patch Kid that I had from being very little, his name is Brian. But here at my house my oldest possession is probably panda blanket that my aunt Susie gave me or the green cups that were my mom and dad's. You are probably thinking the green cups are like china or something but they are actually just plastic cups. Nothing taste as good in anything else! haha

3. Do you have any phobias? Spiders and drinking or eating anything that's bad. I've always been scared of spiders but the drinking and eating anything that's bad has just surfaced in the past year. I smell milk before I drink it every time I get ready to drink it!

7. Tell us about one of your childhood memories. Going over to my mawmaw's while my mom and dad were at work. I would make mud pies. Mawmaw would paint nomes and pawpaw would be working in the garden.

8. How do you handle sticky situations? Do you have a method? If so, what is it? Hum...Wash your hands if they are sticky! haha

9. Do you think people talk about you behind your back? Of course...And first they are giving someone else a break and second if someone is talking about you that must mean you are important enough to them that they want to talk about you! Just saying.....

3. Tell us about your first kiss. I don't remember my first kiss kiss as much as I remember my first kiss with my husband. He'd been chasing me for about a year and a half wanting me to date him and I finally decided to give him a chance to date me...Who knew we'd be married years later...Anyhow, our first kiss I was sitting on the hood of his jeep and he was standing in front of me. When he kissed me he bit my bottom lip and I actually had a bruise on it the next day. You couldn't see the bruise as much as I could feel it.
4. When you meet someone attractive, what do you notice first? Eyes, how they stand, and smile.
5. What was your biggest mistake ever? Hum...Being boy crazy when I was younger. I should have gave it all to God and He'd have shown me the right guy anyhow, but I was always worried about being alone...
6. Give us one random, but candid fact about you. It's VERY hard to name just one thing. But I hate (and I don't say I hate many things) but I hate to talk on the phone. I'd rather text, get on the computer or drive an hour and see someone then talk to anybody on the phone. I use to not be this way.
7. What about your current or most recent lover excites you? That I'm married to him. We've been together for 6 years and that just amazes me. It excites me that I get to spend the rest of my life with him.
8. What really annoys you? Stupid people whether that be stupid people driving or stupid people in a store who can't control their children or stupid people that try to start crap. Oh and another thing that annoys me is when I'm OCD about something and someone else does it and it isn't right.
9. How many other Saturday 9’ers answers do you usually read? Usually two or three...Just to see if anyone is like me.
