Skillet Concert...

So we went to a Skillet concert Sunday, May 24th and it was so awesome. Decyfer Down and Disciple were there as well. We enjoyed the concert very much. Jamie had been telling me for about a month now that he wanted to go to a Skillet concert for his birthday (which is June 12th) and we were wanting to go to one on May 21st in Charleston, SC but we couldn't afford it so we didn't get to go. Then his mom asked me what he wanted for his birthday and I told her Skillet tickets so she bought us tickets. :) It was so fun, a BIG THANK YOU to Cindy!

I didn't really get any good pictures of the bands even though we had really good seats but I did get alot of pictures of the crazy amounts of lights that Skillet had. It was so awesome! And a few of Jamie and I as well...Jamie and I bought two shirts and a cd at the concert. He got a Skillet shirt that's their tour shirt. And I got a Disciple shirt cause I thought it was pretty. haha. It was the last night of the tour so they were pulling pranks on each other so it was overall a really fun experience. Jamie loved it!

Enjoy!

Saturday 9: Uninvited

Saturday 9: Uninvited
1. Do you mind people to show up uninvited? Depends on who they are but most of the time I don't like uninvited guest.
2. Last person you talked to on the phone? Jamie last night when he got off of work.
3. Last person on your missed call list? The Partnership.
4. Who calls you the most? Jamie and my momma!
5. What is your favorite song about breaking up? Dunno...Don't do alot of breaking up anymore since I'm married.
6. If someone sent you an unexpected gift, what would you like it to be? Money! haha...Jamie bought me some unexpected roses though the other night and they were nice.
7. Your classic rock station plays the top songs of all time. What is number one? It wouldn't be classic rock. Maybe Christian Rock and it'd probably be one of Skillet's songs.
8. Do you live for today or tomorrow? Today...Tomorrow may never come.
9. What movie villain scared you as a kid? I was scared of wolves in stories when I was younger (like the 3 little pigs).

The Innocent by Harlan Coben

I gave this book 4 stars. I loved this book. All the twist and turns in it kept me to where I couldn't put it down. I was so amazed at all the events leading up to the end. Definately one of my favorites by Coben. A must read.
This is number 26!! Now on to number 27 :)

Saturday 9: Hot Fun In the Summertime

Saturday 9: Hot Fun in the Summertime

1. Is summer your favorite season? Why? No way...It's to hot...You can only take off so much clothing and you'll still be hot! YUCK!
2. Do you exercise more in the summer because you wear less clothing? No...that's a doubt reason to exercise more.
3. Do you enjoy tanning or are you more concerned about the dangers of basking in the sun? I use to tan really easy but when I was 10 I got a really bad case of sun poison. And now I can't tan at all. But that's okay cause I won't be near as wrinkly later on in life.
4. You are on the beach when a waiter appears for your drink order. What do you ask for? Some water or Mt. Dew. Both with lots of ice in the cup.
5. Do you camp in the summertime? NO...I mean as a kid I would go to camp one week out of the summer but as far as pitching a tent and sleeping on the ground...No way.
6. What was your favorite summer vacation as a kid? We use to go to Topsail Island every May and September. Those were the days...Love that beach.
7. Do you enjoy sleeping outdoors? No...I enjoy sleeping in my comfy bed very much!
8. Do you throw a summer barbecue every year? No...I don't know if I've ever thrown a summer barbecue...Maybe that's something we'll have to do this year.
9. Have you ever been to a nude beach? If yes, what did you think? Um...no way!

Laundry Detergent...

I made some powdered laundry detergent last night. I think we'll keep making the powdered kind instead of liquid. We have a coffee can that we've got it in. I'd love to make enough for the coffee can to be full (it's about a 4th full now) and see how long a whole container last us. It's awesome to be saving money and to not have to worry about coming up with $$ to buy detergent cause it's crazy how much that stuff cost. Anyhow, just thought I'd share that I like the powdered detergent better.

Friday Fill-Ins: #125

1. Moving is actually okay...It's the packing that bites!
2. Stupidity free.
3. My best quality is hum...I'm loving I guess...I don't hold grudges.
4. A bunch of details.
5. In nearly 10 years, I'll be almost to the top of the hill (36 years old in 10 years - whew glad it's not yet!).
6. To read is what I need right now!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to making laundry detergent and relaxing, tomorrow my plans include doing laundry and packing and Sunday, I want to going to church and then leaving for Greenville, SC - going to a Skillet concert and super excited (I said that in my best valley girl accent)!

Medical Update

Well, my CT scan went okay yesterday. I cried of course when they put the IV in me but what's new. The results were normal. But they still want me to see a neurologist because of my head ache. Pretty much I have a headache around the clock. And it's usually on the left side of my face so maybe that plays into me losing my vision. I just want them to figure it out and hopefully be able to tell me why my head hurts all the time. I'm going to set up an appointment with them next week. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I'll keep you updated.

New Background...

My new background is to congradulate all the people graduating in 2009!!! My sisters are two of them! :) Congrat's Graduates!

Medical Issues...

So back when I was at the beach my grandma and I walked a few blocks to this store. While we were in there my left eye went blind. You know how you look at a light and you see spots? It was like that but my whole eye was covered. I could close my left eye and see fine out of my right eye. But it was definately weird. It lasted about five minutes and then went away. So I thought I'll mention that to my eye doctor next month when I go. Well, about a week later I was sitting in my recliner and it happened again. My left eye went compeletely blind but this time it was only for a minute or two. Still freaky. Fast forward to last week. I went to my eye doctor for my regular visit. I asked him about it and he looked at the inside and outside of my eye and said they were both healthy. And that I needed to schedule an appointment with my regular doctor ASAP. That I might have a TIA. So I went this morning to my regular doctor. He scheduled an MRI for me at 3:30pm today. I can't until after that so now I'm starving because I haven't ate anything all day. Anyhow, my regular doctor said from my MRI I'd either go to a neurologist or an eye specialist. I may hear something tonight or tomorrow. If not then I go back to the doctor on Tuesday at 8am. We'll see. Please just keep me in your prayers. Thanks!

The Pagan Stone by Nora Roberts

This book was harder then the other two books for me to get into. I couldn't believe it took me so long to read it, almost two weeks. Mainly it was hard to get into because I was so deep into the series and wondering what was going to happen that I started dreaming about it. Not good. But once I kind of let myself rest from the series for a little bit and didn't read as much for a few days and got back into it. I loved how it ended. And I'm glad I read the series. I would give it 3 and a half stars if I could.

Weigh-In Day...and Laundry

Again...But today I also took measurements as well...Anyhow, I lost a pound this week and then I lost two inches on my legs and waist. And a half inch on my neck. My legs are what I want to lose the inches on...Anyhow, just thought I'd share my success! :)

And my husband joined SparkPeople so that's inspired me to try harder too and I've started logging my food like I should have been doing all along.

So we made our own laundry detergent a little over a week ago...It works wonderfully. I think next time we'll do the powder laundry but it's such a savings in money. I mean you pay $9 for a box of Gain that does 40 loads of laundry. We paid probably about $7 or $8 for all the items to make the laundry and it'll make more then just one mix of the laundry detergent and the homemade detergent will probably do at least 80 loads of laundry. SAVINGS!!!

Preston Loyd

I've been meaning to post this on my blog. I need everyone to pray for this little boy. He's a local boy who was outside playing when his grandfather, who didn't know he was outside, ran over him with a lawnmower. He's 4 years old and he's fighting to live. But his family is amazing and trusting in God. You can visit his Caring Bridge page here.... http://caringbridge.org/visit/prestonloyd

Please add this precious little boy to your prayer list and pass this information along. Thanks so much! :)

The Hollow by Nora Roberts

This book was pretty good. It wasn't as good as the first book, Blood Brothers, but I loved Fox and Lalya. And I loved them falling in love. My favorite part of the book was probably the part where they were all six attacked at the same time. I thought that was pretty cool. I can't wait to see what the next book has in store.

I rated this book a 3 star. Book number 24...Moving on to book 25...
