What a weekend!!

It was so great to get away and enjoy some quality time together. This past weekend we went to Charlotte, NC (yes, about an hour from home) to spend the weekend. We ate good food and just had fun overall. This was my birthday present to Jamie (His birthday was June 12th). First we left Saturday morning around 10am. I honestly thought we would over-sleep or something but we didn't. First we went to Mooresville to return a shirt to Khol's that I got him and a pan to Bed, Bath & Beyond that was messed up. Then we went to Davidson to eat at Toast Cafe. It was so cute. It was a little crowded in the resturant but the food was good. This is one of the places that Jamie wanted to go to. Then we had time to kill so we went to Huntersville and stopped at Barnes and Noble. Crazy people that we are look at the books that we were reading and the page #'s and then went in Barnes and Noble and got the books went to the comfy chairs and read. It was very relaxing. After that we went on to Charlotte to our hotel. We stayed at the Doubletree Hotel and it was great! First we got a room that the AC was leaking water so they moved us to another room. Then that night we went and ate at Zebra. We got all dressed up (yes I wore a dress). The food was good. I had steak and Jamie had fish. Then Sunday we got up and had breakfast at the Hotel which was pretty good. We ate lunch at City Tavern which was okay. We walked around Charlotte from about 12 to 4 and it was really hot. We also rode the light rail which was pretty cool when you were going forward, not so much when you went backward. That night we at The Capital Grill. It was wonderful. First I told them we were celebrating Jamie's birthday so they had confetti on the table, we looked around and it was just on ours. I thought that was cute. We both had steaks and they were really good. Then this morning we slept in and left the hotel at 11. We went to a Fresh Market in Charlotte that was awesome! I wish we had one of those here. We stopped in Mooresville and ate at the Prickly Pear which is a Mexican Restaurant. It was good food again. We got home around 2:30 and left again at 5pm. We went to Jamie's aunt and uncle's to cook for them. We had steaks again and they were really good. Overall this weekend was just full of good food!

Another month has...

gone by. Time flies when you're having fun! haha...Well, it's now June 13, 2008. Yesterday was Jamie's 23rd birthday. Life is great other then gas prices raising! But that's a problem for everyone and there is not much we can do about it. Jamie recently got a second job so that is helping out some. And then I'm hoping to try to get a job at Food Lion since there is one going to open right down the road. But we shall see. Not much else is going on though...We are still loving the married life. We've talked about buying a house but we aren't sure. We both think we can look but we need to focus on paying some of our bills off (my medical and his student loans). I know that God has a time and a place for everything. I just need to trust in him!

VBS is next week. So it's going to be a busy week next week. And then Jamie and I are going out of town next weekend and I'm very excited about that. We are going to be celebrating his birthday. He has no idea what I've got planned! So I guess I'll be posting some more pictures in a few weeks! :)

Just wanted to get on here and share a few pictures...

Back in March Jamie and I decided to go out of town for the weekend. It was planned like a week in advance. But basically we decided to just get in our car and drive until we wanted to stop. We ended up stopping in Black Mountain. We had so much fun!

This is us almost 3 years ago!

Almost there...

So basically I've been in college since 2001 with the exception of taking 1 year off a few years ago. Anyhow, that's a long time.

A while back I realized on my transcript that I was going to college for an Educational Diploma, which is not what I signed up for. I started going for my Associate Degree in Early Childhood in 2003-2004 school year. The woman who was my advisor then, thank goodness she isn't anymore, put me in for the wrong thing. I was ticked. So I talked to my Monday night teacher and found out that she is my new advisor. She is awesome. She got my file from my old advisor and we looked at it. She said that I was right I had signed up for the Associate Degree. So, anyhow, I looked at it and I have 5 classes left to take. Now if Mitchell offers classes when I can take them, after work, then I'll graduate in May 2009 :) I'm so excited.

Here...

Here I am again...Nothing much has been going on.

Work has been good. State will be coming on April 24th so pray we do well. I'm trying not to stress out about it but that's easier said then done.

Life is going good. Jamie and I are happily married. :) Over the past weekend we went to his daddy's church. Little did we know that his daddy was going to get an award so we showed up at the right time. After church we went to his daddy's house and then we went to Winston for me and Kate/Amelia to try on bridesmaid's dresses for Randi and Jason's wedding. They are pretty cute. It's out of my comfort zone but Jamie liked it and my mom said she thought it'd look good on me from the pictures so I'm all for it. Then we cooked supper at our house and hung out. It was a wonderful time.

My teeth on my left side started hurting on Monday night and I thought maybe it was my sinus' just bothering me but on Tuesday they were hurting really really bad so I got some gel stuff to put on them. Well, I must be allergic to that stuff cause my whole mouth has broken out :( And it hurts!!!

Anyhow, now that I've rambled I'm gonna get off of here...

Over a month...

Since I last posted...I've been so busy with work and school and church and of course being a wife! hehe

Since I last wrote Jason and Randi set their wedding date at September 13th. Not to long away.

We've joined a gym, Peak Fitness is coming to town in May so we went ahead and joined and got a discount of some kind. It's gonna be cool. Right now we can go to any of the other Peak gym's but I'm just waiting till May. Jamie is still doing WW and he's lost like a little more then 25 lbs. I'm so proud of him.

Also, last weekend Jamie and I went to Black Mountain. We actually left last Friday evening after Jamie got off and just started driving. We ended up in Black Mountain and that's where my profile picture was taken from. It was so pretty. We ate at Madison Inn for dinner on Saturday night and it was really good. Hopefully next time we plan a little weekend getaway toward that area we can stay at the Inn AND eat there too. But this time we stayed at Super 8. Then on Sunday for brunch we ate at The Cellar Door. It was really good too. I loved getting away like that.

Well, I know I say it every time but I'm gonna try to write in here more. Does anyone read it though???

Busy...

Life has been pretty busy here lately. This past weekend Jamie and I went down to Wilmington for Saturday and Sunday. Jason asked Randi to marry him Saturday and we went down there for that. It was fun! I'm adding pictures to the computer right now and gonna put them on myspace sometime. So now I'm gonna be in a wedding in October.

Jamie and I have been married a little over 3 months. It's unreal almost. But I'm still loving married life.

Spark People

Jamie and I are trying to live a healthy lifestyle and eat right. Both of us have diabetes in our families so pretty much if we don't straighten up now we'll have it. :( And I don't do shots! New Hair!!

As I posted yesterday I was off because of snow. Jamie and I went grocery shopping and I think we did rather well. We bought a lot of healthy foods, pray that we can start living healthier lives and of course living them for the Lord! Anyhow, after we went grocery shopping and put all the groceries up (and Jamie rearranged the food in the cabinets - but it looks good) we went and took some stuff to Goodwill. We had two boxes of kitchen and chef stuff and then a laundry basket full of clothes. It felt good to donate all that stuff. THEN we went to Sport Clips to get our hair cut (yes I said OUR). Jamie needed one cause his was just getting to long and I just was ready to get rid of the length on mine. After the wedding I was going to try to let it grow out to donate it to Locks of Love. I couldn't handle how long it was getting though. YUCK, long hair is just not for me. So, now my hair is right at my chin right where I like it. Off today!

Yes we're off today. I mean I was off cause it snowed and school's were out. But Jamie was scheduled off work. We got up and went grocery shopping and I think we'll watch a movie here in a little bit. I'm just so happy it snowed. I love snow, it's so pretty. Just thought I'd write and say it snowed!!! :)

Cleaning...

I've been cleaning house tonight since I've been home. Jamie and I bought that desk and bookcase Sunday night and put it together so I've been putting stuff in their places. I'm tired now. I think Saturday I'm going to clean really good though, I mean like the vacuuming and everything.

I started school last night. I have Creative Activities on Monday night and Child Guidance on Tuesday night. I think both classes will be okay. I'm just praising the Lord I don't have to write any papers this semester. I have a few big projects but no 8 page papers! WOOHOO!!

Wondeful!!

I haven't wrote in a while. But we are all moved into the apartment. I love it! We've been in here about a week and a few days and it's awesome. I love having heat again. hehe. We've gotten settled in pretty good just have a few more boxes to unpack.

Anyhow, yesterday after work I went over to Mom and Dad's. And then Jessi, Jamie, Daddy and I left for Hickory. Well, when we were getting into the car I heard on 106.9 that if you heard the song Mandisa, God Speaking to be the 10th caller to win. Well, I didn't know what I was winning but I was hoping that it would be Winter Jam tickets. Winter Jam is a Christian Concert that Jamie and I had planned on going to but it was $10 at the door. Anyhow, I was the 10th caller and I won!!! I couldn't believe it. I was so happy. I can't wait to go to the concert. God must really want Jamie and I to be there. :) Anyhow, just figured I'd share my wonderful news!! :)

Oh yes, last night when we went shopping I got...A new Bible, 3 pair of jeans, and some socks. :)

Tomorrow...

We are moving!! I am so excited. We are going to go get the elecity in our names tomorrow and then we'll go get the keys. Then we'll move in. I'm so excited (have I mentioned that?)

Anyhow, Christmas was awesome. Saturday after Jamie got off we drove down to Wilmington and we got there about 6am. It was a long and very exhausting drive but once we were there it was okay. Sunday we went to Jason, Cindy and Randi's church which was very fun. It's a very small church but almost all of the members were mine and Jamie's age. We need more of that at our church. After church we went to eat and then we went to Oak Island. Yes we went to the beach in December. I was having beach withdrawls so I made that a priority that we went. After that we ate dinner and watch The Nativity (a very good movie if you haven't seen it). Monday was Christmas Eve. I stayed at Cindy's while Jamie and her went out shopping. Little did I know they were shopping for me some more Christmas presents. Jason and Randi came over around 5 and we ate at 7, then we opened our Christmas gifts. Our biggest gift was from Jamie's mom, we got a 32 inch flat LCD tv. My personal favorite gift was my digital camera that Jamie got me. I got him a watch that I hope he likes :) We ended up leaving Cindy's at 9:30 to come home. Yesterday was Christmas (MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I hope everyone had a good one!). We got up and went to my mom and dad's so I could wake up my sisters. :) I'm a wonderful big sister! We opened gifts there. I think Jamie's favorite gift other then the tv was the MP3 player that mom and dad got him. After that we came home and got ready. Then we went to my mawmaw's, Jamie's step-mom's parents house (Tab & Jeannie), church for my dad's side and then to Jamie's aunt and uncles house. So we had a fun and filling day. Today we went and signed the lease on our apartment. I can't wait! Have I mentioned that I'm excited??

Moving!

Well, last Thursday (12/13) we got a call from the apartments saying they had one open. Jamie and I went and looked on Friday and we turned in all the paper work. We were approved!! :) So now we're moving. At first we'd planned on moving between January 1st or 6th which was fine with me. But now it's moved up to December 28th! :) I'm so excited. Now the fun of packing begins! :)

Other then that life has been pretty normal. Oh yes, Jamie and I were in a wreck on Sunday night. Yeah I know that's not to normal but seriously other then that and the apartment everything is fine. The wreck happened Sunday night and a guy turned out of a road as we were turning into it. Damaged my car's driver front and back door. It's supposed to be getting fixed on December 31st. Got a busy next couple of weeks.

On Saturday night after Jamie gets off we're going to go ahead and go to Cindy's (my mother-in-law's) for our Christmas with her. We'll be coming back late Monday night. And then we'll do Christmas with everyone around here.

I'm excited about the next couple of weeks. Oh, I'm all all next week so I'm excited about that too. Of course I'll be packing! Thanks for reading and leave some comments!

Cleaning and...

making brownies tonight. I just folded the load of towels that I washed this morning and had Jamie take to mom and dad's to dry. I'm hot. That's weird to be saying in the middle of December and having no heat on. Oh well. I'm ready for cold weather and hopefully some snow! After I clean I've gotta get brownies started. We're having a cookie exchange tomorrow at work for the children in my class and I'm making brownies, yum. Then after I finish that I'm gonna pay some bills and then I think I'll relax and watch some tv.

Only 8 more days of work left until Christmas vacation. This year we are going to my mother-in-law's house on the 23rd and coming back late on the 24th. Then we'll spend Christmas here. It should be fun as our first Christmas married. Ahhh I love being married!

Anyhow, back to work, found out today that we're going to be re-assessed. :( That bites but hopefully we'll get better scores. I know I'll pray we do wonderfully!

28 Days...

Is how long I've been married. And I'm loving it! I just wanted to post back on this blog...Hopefully I'll be posting a lot more!

Yuck!

So, not much has been going on since the last time I wrote. We had homecoming at church last Sunday (October 1st) and I think that was the most people I've seen at our church for a Sunday morning service. It was great. Jamie was off so we spent last Sunday together. Then Monday I worked my normal eight hours and went to school. Then I went to Jamie's and spent time with him. Then Tuesday I only had to work 2 hours because of my Teach time getting switched. So whenever I woke up Tuesday morning my left eye felt like something was in it. I took my contact out and cleaned it and then put it back in. Went and worked my 2 hours at work and then came home. My eye was still bothering me, so I cleaned it again. That didn't work so I finally just took both of them out and threw them away. Then I still felt like something was in my eye but tired to ignore it. I went and picked up Jamie and we went and I got my hair cut and then we went to lunch at Village Inn and it was so good. But my eye was still bothering me. Except now it was getting that nasty gunky stuff in it. Gross, I know! So then me and Jamie went back to his house and I took a nap. He woke me up asking me if I could open my eye. I said no I can't (it was matted shut). He said he was going to take me to the doctor, but my doctor was closed, so then he said he was going to take me to the ER. I said no let me call my mom! :) Gotta love her. She said to wait and then go see Dr. Falls, my eye doctor. And that's what I did. Wednesday morning I got up, my eye was matted shut again, and went to see him first thing in the morning. I have an ulcer on my left eye right where my color and white part meets. The ulcer caused me to have pink eye. So, the doctor wrote me out for yesterday and then today I worked 2 hours, because I had 6 more Teach hours. So, all in all I've only missed 1 day (2 days doing Teach) and I feel horrible about missing. I don't understand how some people can miss days each week and not feel bad about it. Grr. So, I took J&J to the eye doctor today and he found out I went to work this morning and fussed at me. My right eye was matted shut this morning! GRR!!!!! SO, tomorrow when I get up if my eyes are any better I'm going to work and if they aren't then I'm not. My director has been great about my eyes! haha. I guess I'm just a worry wart! Pray for me about that.

ANYHOW, on to better things! Jamie and I have been dating for 3 and a half years on October 8th. No we aren't really celebrating it or doing anything special. I just can't believe we've been dating that long. It seems like yesterday that we started dating. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him! He's the best, even if he is a goober! I love you Jamie Ray!

Today...

Today was an okay day. I woke up and went to Jamie's. It was great spending time with him before he had to go to work. I can't wait until I spend the whole day with him tomorrow! We're going to church, out to eat, probably nap, and then back to church. I love him so much! Anyhow, after I spent time with Jamie I came home and took a nap. Got up, only because I had to, and got ready. Then I went to babysit a little girl from my daycare. So, all and all it was a good day!

WOW

It's been a really long time since I wrote here. Alot has happened since my last post. On June 19th Jamie's grandfather, Ronald, had a stroke and we drove down there that night and stayed for almost a week. We both hated leaving but we either came back home or lost our jobs! :( Then on July 2nd his grandfather passed away. So, we flew down there thanks to some of the people that his grandfather had worked with. We spent the week of the 4th of July in Florida and Virgina with Jamie's family. It was a very sad time. We came back and then I was sick a week with the stomach bug! YUCKO! BUT that is all over and I started back to school in August. I'm taking three classes, two at Mitchell and one at Haywood. I am taking The Holocaust and Health, Safety, Nutrition at Mitchell and then Child Development I at Haywood. It has not been to hard this semester. I'm just ready to get my degree and be done with school for a while. But right now my work has a program called T.E.A.C.H., which is actually a scholarship program where the scholarship pays for some, work pays for some and then I pay for small bit of it. Plus with this program work gives me time off so I work 34 hours a week but get paid 40. Isn't all of that just awesome! PLUS I am back with the age group that I LOVE! One year olds are so funny. I've taught one little girl to say Wasup Dawg! haha. And before I had another little girl who'd say Little Miss Attitude and Drama Queen. To funny. What is also great is having a wonderful co-teacher to work with, Emily. I love her to death! I'm so happy I had the chance to work with her and I do not know what I'm going to do whenever she goes off to college. Which hopefully we'll be together until both of us quit, not that I know when that'll be. Life is going great! Hopefully I'll be getting engaged soon (I can't wait until he pops the question!) And then I can start planning a wedding! I have a wondeful life.

OH yes...Also, on September 25, 2006 my parents have been married for 25 years! That is so awesome and I hope I can be as happy with Jamie after 25 years as they are with each other! Happy Anniversary Momma and Daddy!!
