This is where I describe my blog but I figured since you were here you should go ahead and read it anyhow :) Hope you enjoy!

30 Days About Me Day 26: Favorite Clothing Store.
I'm not a big shopper but if I'm looking for clothes I usually go to Lane Bryant...I like to buy my jeans from Khol's but other then those two stores I don't really shop for clothing much.
Push by Sapphire
An electrifying first novel that shocks by its language, its circumstances, and its brutal honesty, Push recounts a young black street-girl's horrendous and redemptive journey through a Harlem inferno. For Precious Jones, 16 and pregnant with her father's child, miraculous hope appears and the world begins to open up for her when a courageous, determined teacher bullies, cajoles, and inspires her to learn to read, to define her own feelings and set them down in a diary.
My Review - I am officially quitting this book. The language in this book is just uncalled for and I don't feel the need to read that kind of language in the book. I know that others will bash me because I feel this way but I just don't want to read this raunchy language. And I've heard the movie is the same way so I doubt I'll watch the movie either.

A Promise of Hope by Amy Clipston
In A Promise of Hope, the second book in the Kauffman Amish Bakery series by Amy Clipston, an Amish widow with newborn twins discovers her deceased husband had disturbing secrets. As she tries to come to grips with the past, she considers a loveless marriage to ensure stability for her young family … with her faith in God hanging in the balance.
My Review - I absolutely loved this book. Timmy got on my nerves a little bit but I loved the story between Sarah Rose, Peter and Luke. I loved the twins. And I loved how if you picked up this book before you'd read the first book you wouldn't be completely lost. I can't wait to get into the third book even though I'm going to read a book in between.

30 Days About Me Day 25: Best Friends
Today is Best Friend Day in 30 Days About Me...So are you ready for my list and reasoning why??? Here it is...
Jamie (my husband) - simply put he believes in me. He is an amazing, God-fearing man who loves me and believes in me like none other. And he's my baby daddy! :) hahaha
Debbie (my Momma) - she too believes in me and has always, always, always, (okay I'm only 28 years old) loved me more then anyone else. She's stood by me even when I was a bratty little child, teen and even now. I hope Maddie always knows how much I love her just like I always know how much my Momma loves me.
Last, but not least....Erica (my Stalker) - it's a running joke with us that she's my stalker and I'm her's. If you read in my previous post a few days ago you'll read how Erica and I came to be friends. But I know Erica believes in me and loves me for the crazy, stalkery, nerd that I am. I can tell her what I think and not be scared of how she takes it. I can go without talking to her for a few days and we will pick up right where we leave off. I'm glad she's my friend and God blessed me with such an awesome best friend!
30 Days About Me Day 24: Where I Live
It’s Day 24 in the “30 Days about me” series and today is all about where you live. I live in beautiful North Carolina! Here's a few pictures of the state I live in! We have ocean and mountains and everything in between. It's beautiful here and although I wish the summers were cooler and the winters were more snowy and longer, it's a beautiful state.
See...beautiful!!!

30 Days About Me Day 23: YouTube Talk
Today is day 23 of the “30 Days About Me” and we are talking YouTube. We are sharing some of our favorite video’s from YouTube. Of course I have a few so I'm going to share a few! :) Watch and enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not search on YouTube for these videos. I hardly ever actually go to the website but when someone shows me one that I enjoy I remember it. These videos are videos that others have shared with me.
(Above) The Swagger Wagon - I posted this video back right after I found out I was pregnant because one of my friends had shared it with me. We have a CR-V and it's going to be our Swagger Wagon...so cute!
(Below) The Ultimate Dog Tease - to funny...the maple kind right?
(Above)So all of the Charlie videos are funny but this is the one with the Choo-Shoe...Probably my favorite out of them all...You need to start with the first one though if you watch them...This is the second one...I had to watch it a few times before I actually laughed...
(Below) This is the 3rd in the Charlie series and I love when they go ring-ring hello...I actually have that as my ringtone! haha...
So silly as all those were, they are my favorites (or some of them) from youtube...What are some of yours?
Now back to reading, since it's the last day of the readathon! :(

Six Word Saturday
I should be reading right now...
I'm doing a readathon and I should be reading right now but I had to post my Six Word Saturday! :)
30 Days About Me Day 22: Favorite Websites
Day 22: Favorite Websites
Today in 30 Days About Me it's all about my favorite websites...SO here they are! :)
- Goodreads - a website that keeps track of the books you read all for free...so awesome! You can also meet really cool people here that like to read as much or as little as you do!
- All Recipes - a place to go to find any type of recipe you want...
- Facebook - of course! :)
- Swag Bucks - a pretty cool site I just started going to...check it out, join, if they ask for a referral name it's KasiLou
- Barnes & Noble - I have a nook aka Herbie and of course I get my books here!
- The Cheap - tells you about cheap nook books...a very good blog!
- Ebates - if you buy a lot of stuff online here's the place to go through...you get money back when you go to their website before you buy items...a for real place because I've received checks from buying nook books for Herbie!
Full Tilt by Neal Shusterman
Before I post my review, I'm going to try to start posting a link with the picture so that when you click the picture you can go to goodreads.com and see the book through their website. SO if you'd like to add it to your TBR list you can. So you can now click on the picture! :)
Sixteen-year-old Blake has always been the responsible one in his dysfunctional family -- the one who drives safely, gets good grades, and looks after his wild younger brother, Quinn. Quinn is his brother's opposite -- a thrill-seeker who's always chasing the next scary rush, no matter what the cost. But Quinn and Blake are in for the surprise of their lives when they're thrust into the world of a bizarre phantom carnival -- and their souls are the price of admission.
In order to save his brother, and himself, Blake must survive seven different carnival rides before dawn. Seven rides...it sounds easy. But each ride is full of unexpected dangers, because each ride is a reflection of one of Blake's deepest fears. And the last ride is the worst one of all. Because that's the one that confronts Blake with a terrifying secret from his past -- a secret he's been running from for years.
Full of roller-coaster twists and turns, Neal Shusterman's latest page-turner is an Orpheus-like adventure into one boy's psyche.
My Review - This book actually ended like I thought is should. Do you know how rare that you'll ever hear me say that about a book?? Anyhow, I liked Blake and how cautious he was. And I understand now that that's why he had to go through the "carnival" to get the point of the book. I liked the message of the book and how it changed Blake and Quinn.

Thankful Thursday
I almost forgot it was Thursday and forgot to post what I'm thankful for but I remembered and here it is...my list for Thankful Thursday! :)
- The time I had with my Aunt Susie...I'll never forget going gallivanting with her and my Mawmaw! :) (If you read my previous post you'll see why I'm talking about my Aunt Susie)
- My job - although it is literly wearing me out (and I'm not in the classroom much anymore) I'm thankful that I have a job that I like to do!
- Money enough to pay the bills...There are people all over the world struggling to pay their bills and thankfully we have enough (and a few mere dollars left) over to pay our bills.
- Coupons!! Yep, I'm one of those women in the grocery stores that has a binder with the pages of coupons in them :) And I love being able to save money...
- My Bible - of course God's word is pretty awesome in it's self but last year when I (FINALLY) graduated and received my associate degree, my church gave me a Bible and I absolutely love this version and this Bible. You know you always see those people with worn out Bibles (it means they've used it) well, I have a Bible that I want to wear out!
30 Days About Me Day 20: Something You Wish You Could Forget
Day 20: Something You Wish You Could Forget
Welcome to Day 20 in the “30 Days About Me”. Today we are talking about something you wished you could forget.
I'm gonna try not to make this post very serious and sad as I don't want to think about serious and sad stuff! So it'll be a short and sweet post! Also I believe that God does everything for a reason so if I remember it then God has a reason for it.
Anyhow, I wish I could forget how I didn't get to say bye to my Aunt Susie. I was in on a trip about 4 hours away from home with three girls from work when my Dad called. Now when my daddy calls I know it's something serious cause neither one of us are phone talkers. He told me that it wasn't looking good for Susie and he'd keep me posted. I didn't have my own car so I couldn't leave and I wasn't about to expect the three girls I was with to just leave and ruin their trip. That call was received Friday night and Sunday morning my Aunt Susie passed away. I know I'll see her again one day but I wish I could have told her I loved her one more time.
So there that's it. Short, sweet, sad and serious...
Readathon Day 3: Getting there :)
So on the first day, Monday, I read a mere 23 pages! And Tuesday I did some better by reading 60 pages...Well yesterday, Wednesday, I read a whopping 82 pages!!
8/22
Number of pages I’ve read today: 23 pitiful little pages...
Total number of pages I’ve read: 23 pages
Today #insixwords: This is so very sad and pitiful!
8/23
Number of pages I’ve read today: 60 pages

Today #insixwords: Not my goal but getting there
So I'm not to the goal of 300 pages that I'd wanted to be at but I'm working on it! :)

Bruiser by Neal Shusterman
Tennyson:
Don't get me started on the Bruiser. He was voted "Most Likely to Get the Death Penalty" by the entire school. He's the kid no one knows, no one talks to, and everyone hears disturbing rumors about. So why is my sister, BrontË, dating him? One of these days she's going to take in the wrong stray dog, and it's not going to end well.
Bronte:
My brother has no right to talk about Brewster that way—no right to threaten him. There's a reason why Brewster can't have friends—why he can't care about too many people. Because when he cares about you, things start to happen. Impossible things that can't be explained. I know, because they're happening to me.
My Review - This book was pretty good...I wished it had ended differently but that's a common wish of mine on many different books. I loved the story between all the characters. And I loved Brewster! Bronte kind of got on my nerves some with the way she was but that didn't make me like the story any less.

Today is all about Talents and Hobbies, just one of the days and topics in the 30 Days About Me. So here are my talents and hobbies...(of course they'll be in list format)
- Reading is definitely one of my hobbies...I love to read...It takes you to a different world!
- Blogging...UM who would have thought?
- Crocheting is a talent of mine. Like I've posted before, I may not be able to follow a pattern but I can create my own and make a blanket to keep you warm through the winter!
- I can organize well I reckon would be a talent.
- I use to scrapbook and would love to get back into it, especially after Maddie is born. But all of my scrapbooking materials are at my Mom's house and I have no where for it really at my house so I go there to do it!

Day 18: Wedding Talk
Day 18: Wedding Talk
Today is Day 18 and we are talking about weddings. Share with us about the one you had or the one you dream of.
My wedding day was everything I ever wanted it to be and more...I wouldn't change a thing about it other then burning my dress (don't worry...I'll explain). The night was awesome...When I was 10, my dad told me that the Lord had called him to be a pastor. I personally thought he was kind of crazy because he never talked BUT he's a preacher cause that's what God wants him to do. I've dreamed for years of my daddy walking me up the aisle but then also preforming the ceremony. This dream came true...My dad walked in with my husband and stood up from while all the other wedding party walked in and then he walked down the aisle to get me and when we got to my momma, she stood up and walked the short distance to where my dad turned around and said, 'Who gives this woman?' and my momma said, 'You and I do.' She then took her seat. It was just like I wanted. Also Jamie standing at the end of the aisle was just like I wanted. My dress was just like I wanted (until it was burned, I'm getting there...). And my whole day was just like I had wanted and dreamed it would be. So here are some pictures.........Get ready cause I'm ready to share...
(Above) Left to right...Cindy (Jamie's mom - she's had weight loss surgery since this picture and looks awesome!), Me, and my Momma (Debbie) before the wedding...
(Below) Me and my Daddy before the wedding...this was the only picture that he's not cheesing it out in...haha...We pick on him cause in all the other pictures he's cheesing to the max!
(Above)My cousin Hannah, my flower girl, and I...We were matching this day it was pretty awesome that we found her dress and it was exactly the same as mine!
(Below) Jamie and his boys before the wedding...minus his dad, my dad and the bell ringer (ring boy)...Left to right...Cody (my cousin), Jason (Jamie's brother), Eric (Jamie's friend), and Justin (Jamie's friend)...
(Above) Jamie and I during the ceremony...You can see a little bit of my daddy but you can also see my best friend Erica!! :)
(Below) Jamie and I right after the ceremony, I love him! We went back in after all the wedding party was out and instead of the ushers letting the rows out we did :) Instead of having a receiving line we shook each person's hand and let our wedding party off the hook. I loved it!
(Above) Jamie and I dancing our first dance as man and wife...We danced to It Is You I Have Loved by Dana Glover - it's a song off of Shrek (which has meaning between Jamie and I)...
(Below) Jamie's hands on me as we're dancing...I love this picture...
This last picture is a picture of myself and I love it...I think this was probably the best picture that was taken of me all night...And the funny thing is I never remember him taking it!
SO now the dress story...Yes I burned my dress. We had luminaries outside at the church and at the reception...My maid of honor, Emily, was leaving so I decided to walk her out. We stepped outside and moved out from in front of the door and stood talking for a few minutes. Suddenly Emily says Kasey you look hot (it wasn't cold but it was chilly outside) and I said thanks (I thought she was saying that I looked pretty). She said no you're on fire! I said huh? About that time my father-in-law who heard all the commotion as he was walking to his car saw the flame and came and was stomping on my dress as Jamie walks out (our photographer had gone and got him). Jamie's dad, Norman, put the fire out and one of the guest from my wedding pinned my dress up so that I wouldn't have to look at the burn and to this day (over 3 and a half years ago - it'll be 4 in November) I still haven't looked at that burn spot! And then one of my photographers said at least it wasn't your hair by the unity candle...I said I would have taken that as a sign! haha. But it was an awesome night even with the burned dress!
